We are delighted to invite you to a special edition of the debate series Carbon Stories at the Nationale Klimaat Expo. From the Expo Houten, we zoom in on the role of the government in the transition to a climate-positive built environment. Speakers share inspiring examples and debate what changes are needed.

What are the possibilities of CO2 reduction in the built environment? To stay within the Paris Agreement, ambition from the market and steering by the government on reducing material-related CO2 is necessary. How do the tightened MPG standard and the Global Warming Potential (GWPa) indicator work? What does this mean for the various disciplines? These questions will be addressed in the panel discussion moderated by Liesbeth Schievink.

Speakers
Guido Slokkers – sustainability advisor at Gemeente Rotterdam
Laetitia Nossek – program manager at DGBC
Malika van de Weerd – program manager sustainability at AM Gebiedsontwikkeling
