Brains 4 Buildings organiseert maandelijkse webinars waarin deskundigen allerlei actuele onderwerpen met betrekking tot slimme gebouwen belichten. 16 februari zal er een webinar plaatsvinden over comfort-apps in slimme gebouwen.
Smart buildings, equipped with smart devices and advanced technology have the potential to improve energy efficiency and enhance the overall building experience. However, they also present new risks and challenges, such as data breaches and privacy violations. This webinar will highlight the need for security, privacy, and ethics standards and frameworks for operational technology in the context of smart buildings, while exploring potential risks, as well as strategies for addressing them.

Brains 4 Buildings is a multi-year, multi-stakeholder program focused on developing methods to harness big data from smart meters, building management systems and the Internet of Things devices, to reduce energy consumption, increase comfort, respond flexibly to user behaviour and local energy supply and demand, and save on installation maintenance costs. This will be done through the development of faster and more efficient Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models and algorithms. The project is geared to utility buildings such as commercial and institutional buildings.
