Brains 4 Buildings organiseert maandelijkse webinars waarin deskundigen allerlei actuele onderwerpen met betrekking tot slimme gebouwen belichten. 19 oktober zal er een nieuw webinar plaatsvinden.
New data-driven smart building applications are on the rise. These sophisticated software applications are expected to be interfacing with a broad spectrum of systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), sensor data, Building Information Modelling (BIM) models, the electricity grid, and more. Understanding the interactions and the communication between these systems and organizing their data is important to design and implement such applications. Here, a software architecture can provide a structured approach to designing, planning, and organizing such diverse systems. This webinar is a discussion about such software architecture for a data-driven smart buildings.
Speaker: Lasitha Chamari. Lasitha is a PhD Candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research focuses on how to efficiently use data in smart buildings, including Sensor data, IoT, BIM and Linked Data.
Brains 4 Buildings is a multi-year, multi-stakeholder program focused on developing methods to harness big data from smart meters, building management systems and the Internet of Things devices, to reduce energy consumption, increase comfort, respond flexibly to user behaviour and local energy supply and demand, and save on installation maintenance costs. This will be done through the development of faster and more efficient Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models and algorithms. The project is geared to utility buildings such as commercial and institutional buildings.
